Hi ojeysky,
Seems like your installation was not fully completed.
Re-install it as follows. (backup the db if needed)
1. drop the database that you gave during the installation.
2. go to <orangeHrm-web-root-dir>/lib/confs using file browser and delete Conf.php file
3. access orangeHRM url through the browser and follow the installation instructions (fresh installation)

Hello Chameera,

I did the installation and it was actually successful. I would have loved to re-install as you have suggested however, i had tried this sometime ago and for some reason the hrm could not read the previous database again. What i did then was basically install orangehrm on my local server then i started creating all the content. When i was done, i now moved it to my public hosting but to my surprise the content of the local version was no where to be found. It now showed it as empty!
I had to setup a new orangehrm on my public hosting and start afresh with populating the content....now i am afraid if i do this again, what happened earlier may happen again. Is there any other way to fix this problem without having to re-install?

Thanks

Hi ojeysky,
It can. But its very painful. You need to find the CREATE TABLE for all the missing tables from the dbscript, and need to source it for the current db. (also all the constrains related to that). For the hs_hr_users, need to insert default admin manually. So as the other tables if there are any INSERT in the dbscript.

Even though this has done, its not 100% sure of correct working as fresh installation.

Hello chameera,

If i decide to be courageous and do a fresh install, i will still have to import the same current database which does not have the hs_hr_users. Do you think it will make any difference doing a fresh install in the long run?

Thanks

Hi ojeysky,
Its depending on what data you going to lost on fresh installation.
Ifs better if u can add them manually after new install

I have records of over 400 staffs job categories, pay grades, etc Deleting all that and starting over again is not a good news at all. May i ask the developer of this software to kindly provide me with solution that will not make me start all over again please!

Finally solved my problem(well at least all seem to be ok now), just incase someone else have this pro, here is what i did:

I have the table ohrm_user on my database so i exported that and then edited its content by replacing every occurrence of ohrm_user with hs_hr_users. Then i renamed the edited file to hs_hr_users and imported the new table hs_hr_users into my database and that was it! i can now change password successfully!

Cheers!
