unexpected T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM in 2.6.8

Getting the following error after a fresh install of 2.6.8. The same error comes up on the PIM, Leave, Time, Recruitment, and Performance tabs.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM, expecting ']' in /var/www/orangehrm-2.6.8/symfony/plugins/orangehrmCorePlugin/lib/filter/orangehrmPostExecutionFilter.php on line 23

I had a look at the code and the syntax looks fine to me. Thoughts?

I am experiencing this same problem on fresh install of OrangeHRM 2.6.8 on a Server 2003 Plesk server. Has a patch or fix been released for this?

I tried the latest build from the SVN repository and got the same result. It seems to be a symfony related problem. I'm using PHP 5.2.4 and MySQL 5.0.51a on Ubuntu 8.04LTS server as reported by sysinfo.php below:

I just installed a fresh copy of v2.6.8 and having the same problem with the posts above.

Mysql Enterprise 5.0.46
PHP 5.2.6

Any idea?

I managed to get 2.6.8 to work but only with newer releases of PHP and MySQL. I did another test install of 2.6.8 to a TurnKey LAMP server on Amazon EC2 and everything seems to be running as expected. This server is running Ubuntu 10.04 with updated versions of PHP and MySQL as indicated below. It could be that 2.6.8 requires a more recent version of PHP and/or MySQL.

PHP version OK (ver 5.3.2-1ubuntu4.9)
MySQL Client OK (ver 5.1.41)
OrangeHRM Configuration File Writable OK
Maximum Session Idle Time before Timeout OK
Memory allocated for PHP script OK

In any case, it appears that 2.6.8 works fine on newer LAMP stacks. Perhaps the web installer needs to be updated to force a check for more recent versions of PHP and MySQL.

I upgraded my PHP Version to 5.3.8(Also added POD_mysql) and it works!
