Leave status not updating from "Scheduled" to "Taken"

Hi. I have a user with leave status stuck on "scheduled" intead of "taken" even though it's in the past. For example, a user was approved for a time off last week and it is still showing as "scheduled" instead of "taken". What's the best way to fix this? Thanks.
